Syke Ings meets Syke Cluan
Sounding like characters from a sci-fi novel, these are the unusual names belonging to two streets in the otherwise ultra conventional suburb of Richings Park. No idea why.
Update from David Howard - "I just saw your photo of Syke Ings in Middx, these are names from Northern England under the Danes, a Syke is a stream and Ings is soft or springy ground. There's one near Hull. Nothing yet for Cluan."
