Link road heading to join the westbound A555
After the official opening of the extended A555 on October 15th, 2018 this link is to carry traffic from Handforth towards Manchester Airport and beyond.

Manchester Airport Eastern Link Road (A555)
This new extension of the A555 at last connects the old 'white elephant' to the Manchester International Airport and the motorways beyond. It will officially open on the 15th of October 2018. The hiatus has lasted 21 years since the job was postponed by the incoming Blair government of 1997.
