Originally the village hall with a dance hall upstairs. It was built in 1937. It became a Chinese restaurant and was converted by JD Wetherspoon in 1998 into a cafe bar-style public house called the Kings Hall Image It was bought by Stonegate PubCo in 2016 and renamed by them in February 2017 to the King's Tap.

Oak Meadow Park in the centre of Cheadle Hulme is an urban greenspace used by a wide variety of the local community. The parks infrastructure had deteriorated badly throughout the 1980s and 1990s as had the quality and amount of its grounds maintenance. This led to the formation of a Focus Group an offshoot of the local District Centre Partnership, whose sole aim was to improve the quality of the park and return it to its heyday as the centre of community activity in Cheadle Hulme. The park now holds several significant events every year such as summer garden parties and Christmas carol concerts. It is now a busy, well used, and welcoming local park at the centre of community activity. http://www.stockport.gov.uk/services/leisureculture/parksandrecreation/parks/oakmeadowpark/ The Oak Meadow Group, part of the Cheadle Hulme Partnership, oversaw the improvements and are actively arranging projects and events to further enhance the enjoyment of this valuable open space. New walkways and kerbs. New litter bins and benches including a circular bench surrounding the central oak tree. A unique sculpture whose design was inspired and contributed to by the local residents.
