Three Stags' Heads
This pub is what makes Wardlow Mires famous. It is a small, characterful old-fashioned pub, but the catchphrase is "Shut that door", even though there is a large gap under the front door anyway.

The Three Stags' Heads in Wardlow Mires
Gem of a public house which, with the possible exception of the Barley Mow in Kirk Ireton and one or two others is the nearest thing you'll get to a parlour pub experience in Derbyshire. Abbeydale brewery produce a special beer 'Black Lurcher' exclusively for the pub and the place was in fine fettle on this day with lively banter and folk music in the side room.

Three Stags Heads
According to Wikipedia "The Three Stags' Heads is like the front room of a farm house; a small stone flagged room with a cast iron range, whitewashed walls, a small bar and a couple of rickety tables and chairs. It is like a farmhouse might have been 200 years ago."
