Octagon Concert Hall, Buxton
The Octagon Concert Hall which is in the delightfully Victorian Pavilion Gardens at Buxton in Derbyshire. Built in 1875. This photograph shows the hall following extensive refurbishment to the exterior.

Octagon Hall [1]
Built in 1876 as part of the complex of entertainment buildings constructed on the north side of the Pavilion Gardens, the hall has seen a number of alterations and was restored in 1994. The hall closed in 2015 for essential repairs and restoration and it was intended for it to reopen in March, 2018. Bad weather and other factors have delayed the re-opening. Buxton Pavilion Gardens, The Octagon
The domed building is the concert hall now known as the Octagon. Designed by Robert Rippon Duke in 1881, it is a huge slate dome weighing 560 tons and spanning 145 feet.
