Bethel Chapel (1801), Hollinsclough
Grade II listed Non-conformist chapel. Dated 1801. Rough faced coursed stone.
The Chapel was built in 1801 by John Lomas. He was a pedlar and tinker by trade, which at that time was a respectable occupation, dealing in "Manchester goods" such as clothing but chiefly transporting the local silk to mills at Macclesfield.

Hollinsclough pictured against the backdrop of Chrome Hill
This picture is taken from an ancient sunken track which drops down into Hollinclough from the west. The Methodist Chapel (dated 1801) is visible to the left and the old school house can be made out behind the trees to the right of shot. The majestic contours of Chrome Hill form an imposing backdrop.

Hollinsclough Rake, Hollinsclough
Hollinsclough Rake is the main thoroughfare through the village, and is rather dominated by the Methodist chapel (right), which appears surprisingly substantial for such a tiny village.
