Houses on Dowson Road
When Dowson Road was built in the 1930s bypassing Stockport Road through Gee Cross, most of the houses built alongside it were semi-detached but here we have a group of six large terraced properties.

Old Telegraph post
On the Trans Pennine Trail near Dowson Road which follows the route of the former the Godley Junction to Apethorn Railway. This is not, as sometimes thought, an old signal but a telegraph pole - connected with signalling, but not actually a signal itself. On the top arms it is possible to see the 'J' shaped hooks onto which the porcelain insulators would be screwed to hold the wires. Below the top arms are slots where further arms would have been slotted in and attached.

Old telegraph post
This old telegraph post by the side of the Trans Pennine Trail is a remnant of when this was the busy Godley to Apethorn railway line. Since earlier in the year Image it seems to have been attacked by bindweed.
