Flannagan's Conversion
The former Flannagan's Image has just had all its signage removed. The board outside was advertising a "spiritualist" meeting which made me think it was being converted into a church, but in fact it has re-opened as a pub Image

Morrisons, Hyde
A cold but sunny morning outside Morrisons supermarket on Mottram Road. Just before Christmas the price of petrol here had dropped to under a pound per litre. Today it has risen to 100.7 pence per litre and diesel, which for a long time has been dearer than petrol, is the same price. Autogas remains unchanged at 49.9 pence per litre. Prices have always been rounded down to something point nine pence to make them appear marginally cheaper but I don't recall point seven being used before.

The Olde Town House
The Moulders Arms was established in the 1860s on the corner of Mottram Road and John Shepley Street. By 2009 it changed its name to Flannagans Image Two weeks ago when I saw that all its signage removed Image and there was a board outside advertising a "spiritualist" meeting, I thought it was being converted into a church. However it seems it is still a pub, but with yet another name.
