St Mary's Wallington
The nave is the earliest part of the church and dates from C14. The tower and the nave windows are C15. George Orwell and his wife Eileen O'Shaughnessy were married here 9th of June 1936 in the presence of eight guests. The pair lived at a cottage in the village 1936-40. St Mary's Church, Wallington
The nave and tower are medieval, although the windows, doorway and roof look to have been restored. The chancel was rebuilt in 1864. (information from the listing details).
