Ashwell Springs
The water rises from several holes in the chalk; it is cold - never more than 52 degrees F. The average flow is around 1 million gallons a day. The water feeds the River Rhee, one of the principal sources of the Cam, which joins the Ouse about 4 miles south of Ely near Stretham Image and flows out to sea in The Wash, about 65 miles from Ashwell.

Ashwell: The Three Tuns' car park entrance
The clapboarded outbuilding caught my eye. The Three Tuns dates from the early years of the 19th century and is Grade II listed.
