Letchworth outdoor swimming pool.
This is usually open from the beginning of June until September. During those long hot summers it is very well attended. The rest of the time.......

To the north of the swimming pool there is a belt of small trees, enclosing muddy depressions. The yellow on the twigs on the left side of the image is lichen. There is a closer view of it here: Image

Pix Brook goes underground. Footbridge over?
Although the OS maps show Pix Brook as a continuous blue line through the common and a footbridge over at this point, the brook actually goes underground before emerging several hundred feet further downstream and west.
At this point it reminds me of the old folk song: "Please take me where / the sweet river Aire / bubbles and sparkles through Leeds".

Elim Pentecostal Church
The good people of Letchworth Garden City are so God fearing that this church has now been outgrown and has moved up the road.
