War memorial, Old Knebworth
The war memorial was erected in 1920, and behind it is one of the Jubilee Lodges, built in extravagant Victorian style c.1890 to commemorate the Golden Jubilee. They are both listed, Grade II.

Avenue of trees, Old Knebworth
This looks as if it could have been a driveway to the house. It starts at a gate behind the war memorial and there are notices to say that it is not a public footpath and giving directions to public paths to the south-west and north-east. These give access to a walk in the Knebworth estate described in https://www.guardian-series.co.uk/news/588319.so-whats-new-at-old-knebworth/ .

Old Knebworth: Road junction
The photographer stands in Old Knebworth Lane, which here makes a T-junction with Park Lane to both left and right. To the left leads to Knebworth station, just over mile away. Right lies the rest of Old Knebworth village, including the 'Lytton Arms'.
