Mangrove Lodge, Mangrove Road, Hertford
Mangrove Lodge was formerly the warden's accommodation for the University of Hertfordshire's halls of residence in Mangrove Road. Interestingly it retains a name sign in the university's corporate signage style even though the campus is now closed and the halls have been demolished.

Former entrance to Balls Park
The one time main entrance to Balls Park, Mangrove Road, Hertford. Originally a teacher training college, Balls Park later became a campus of Hatfield Polytechnic and then The University of Hertfordshire.

The signs on the gateposts designate this as Queen's Road Lodge: it presumably used to be attached to the large house nearby on Hagsdell Road that is now in educational use.

Hertford: All Saints' Church and the tomb of Richard Lucie Reed
Richard Lucie Reed was a London surgeon who died in Hertford at the age of 55 on 20 May 1842. His wife Caroline is also commemorated on the tomb. She died in London on 25 January 1864 at the age of 79.

New development at Balls Park
This new block of flats stands on the former site of S Block in the one time University of Hertfordshire Balls Park Campus in Hertford. The Grade I listed 1640 Balls Park mansion is just visible in the right background. The scaffolding to the left is on the former site of the campus's Wingate Library.
