The Hertford Neighbourhood Policing Team as been working to tackle these issues using targeted policing operations, that includes both enforcement tactics and engagement with the public.

Action taken against speeding and anti social driving on the A414 and connecting routes:
• Action taken to reduce speeding and anti social driving on the A414, town centre and surrounding routes, with patrols focused on weekends.

• Dedicated patrols carried out seven days a week during evenings, to address drug use and anti social behaviour. The ativity focused on Hartham Common, Fore Street, Mead Lane, Gascoyne Way, town centre car parks, retail areas and locations around Hertford East station.
• High visibility foot and vehicle patrols used to deter offending and disrupt ongoing nuisance behaviour.
