This pub was made famous by Bruce Forsythe when he presented the BBC TV programme "The Generation Game" and for several weeks one of the catchphrases which he used was "The Angel pub in Ware".

Widbury Hill, Ware
Widbury Hill is the principal route into the town from the east. The floral decoration on the town name signs is done every year by local volunteers from the "Ware in Bloom" group.

Flotsam and weed trapped in Tumbling Bay Weir on the River Lea Navigation in Ware. In addition to regulating the water level weirs are useful for clearing the channel of debris like this.
