| 1 May 2026 | The community has asked local officers to focus on reducing anti-social behaviour in The Priory and surrounding industrial areas, as well as tackling the anti-social use of e-bikes along the towpath between Ware and Stanstead Abbotts. Response (1 May 2026)Officers will step up visible patrols in The Priory and surrounding industrial areas to reduce anti-social behaviour and will work to prevent and respond to the anti-social use of e-bikes along the towpath between Ware and Stanstead Abbotts. |
| 1 May 2026 | During the last period in the Ware area, the priority was to help reduce anti-social behaviour and anti-social driving in Stanstead Abbotts High Street, and in Lady Margaret Gardens, Fanhams Hall Road and King George Park in Ware. Response (1 May 2026)In the last period of priorities, officers: • Conducted several operations in Stanstead Abbotts under Operation Tonnage, during which vehicles over 7.5 tonnes are stopped, spoken to, and advised regarding the weight restriction. Repeat offenders have been identified during these operations and as a result have been issued tickets. Ongoing monitoring and enforcement will continue, to ensure that the issue continues to stop. |
| 1 Aug 2026 | During the last period in the Ware area, you asked us to focus on: • East Herts Rural: Officers will continue to crack down on anti-social behaviour in Buntingford town centre and tackle fly-tipping across the area. • Bishop’s Stortford and Sawbridgeworth: Residents have said they want a focus on improving feelings of safety in Pishiobury Park, as well as Grange Paddocks and Sawbridgeworth Fields. • Ware and Stanstead Abbotts: The community has asked local officers to focus on reducing anti-social behaviour in The Priory and surrounding industrial areas, as well as tackling the anti-social use of e-bikes along the towpath between Ware and Stanstead Abbotts. • Hertford: Officers will focus on tackling anti-social behaviour in Birchley Green and the anti-social use of e-bikes in Hartham. Response (1 Aug 2026)In the last period of priorities, officers: • Have conducted proactive patrols in Ware, Stanstead Abbotts and along the towpath, in both plain clothes and in uniform. They have conducted a number of stop searches. • Have been trained to use SelectaDNA spray which is going to form part of our effort to tackle antisocial behaviour associated with e-bikes and e-scooters. Recently, there has been a reduction in reports of e-bikes being ridden antisocially, which is positive. However, further operations are planned to take place in the near future, to ensure that this trait continues to reduce. |
