Metal plates attached to stone post by the A210, in parish of ELTHAM (GREENWICH District), Eltham High Street SE9, in wall of the Cactus Tree (formerly Chequers PH) No. 34, against wall in pavement, on South side of road. New Cross marker, erected by the New Cross turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- : 8 / MILES / TO / LONDON / BRIDGE : : 4 / MILES / TO / FOOTSCRAY : Grade II listed.
