Eltham shops (5)
Eltham has a good range of shops, but they are strung out along the main roads leading away from the parish church, rather than there being one "shopping centre". This set is on Eltham Hill, opposite the church, and as of 2011 included an ink cartridge refill centre, Chinese takeaway, two convenience stores and "Draughts" public house (formerly the "Chequers").

Eltham has a good range of shops, but they are strung out along the main roads leading away from the parish church, rather than there being one "shopping centre". This set is on Eltham Hill, opposite the church, and as of 2011 included a hairdresser, charity shop, three takeaways, and what looks like a pub closed for refurbishment.

View of a Mercedes Benz 350SL pulling away from the traffic lights at Eltham Church on Court Road
Whilst on the 132 bus heading for a photography shoot at Eltham Palace, I got lucky and managed to grab a few of the classic cars participating in the annual London to Brighton Classic Car Run on Well Hall Road. I had just got off the bus at Eltham Church and, by stroke of luck, a whole line of classic cars pulled up at the traffic lights. This is a shot of a Mercedes Benz 350SL pulling away from the junction, looking south-southwest.
