Holy Trinity Church, Eltham: chancel

Holy Trinity Church, Eltham
An Anglican parish church, built 1868-9 to the designs of G E Street. This is the west end facing Southend Crescent, with its apsidal baptistery added in 1909 by Sir Arthur Blomfield. The building is listed grade 2 (List Entry Number 1211995).

Holy Trinity Church, Eltham: Gallipoli Chapel
For an external view of the church and historical notes, see Image The chapel, part of Blomfield's east end extension of 1909 and originally dedicated to St Agnes and the Blessed Virgin, was re-dedicated to the regiments of the WW1 Gallipoli campaign (as recognised in the list description) and remains the only known example of a chapel for that purpose, thereby giving it national significance.
