Pippenhall Meadows
This meadow is actually home to a large colony of pyramidal orchids, although there were none to be seen when this photograph was taken. Pippenhall has a number of natural springs which give rise to the River Shuttle.

Shopping trolley on Green Chain Walk
This path is used by the long distance path leading from Bexley Road, past Avery Hill Allotments towards Avery Hill Park and down to New Eltham. Unsure where the trolley came from except Sainsbury's !

Gravel Pit Lane is an old trackway linking Riefield Road and Bexley Road. Eltham Warren Golf Course is on the right here and the Greenwich Environmental Curriculum Centre is on the left.

Disused horse trough on Bexley Road
The trough is inscribed "Presented by Sir Spencer Maryon-Wilson". The Maryon-Wilson family is associated principally with Charlton House Image a few miles away.
