St James church (Mar Thoma), New Eltham
The building looks to have been built as a sports pavilion but is now a place of worship. The Mar Thoma church is Indian in origin and takes its name from its founder St Thomas.

Southwood Cottages, Avery Hill Road
Possibly old farm cottages from the days when this area of Eltham was open countryside, these cottages contrast with the surrounding suburbia. That said there is still a great deal of open land hereabouts, especially to the west in Avery Hill Fields where the old hedgerows can still be seen.
