View from a Train
The railway is up high on viaducts and embankments all along here, with occasional views in between blocks of building. The squirly monochrome graffiti along here improves the picture, I think.

Avenue of plane trees in Deptford Park
The site of Deptford Park was originally a market garden. It was sold by the Evelyn family to the London County Council, in 1884, and the park was officially opened to the public on 7th June 1897. This fine avenue of plane trees runs along the western side of the park, parallel to Scawen Road.

Site of former school
The area behind the brick wall on the north side of Grinstead Road is currently the playground of Sir Francis Drake primary school, which is a fairly modern building, but the presence of a SBL plaque in the wall Image suggests that there was a former Victorian school on the site.

Trundleys Road bridge
The bridge carries six tracks of the lines out of London Bridge station over Trundleys Road. As can be seen in the photo, the "bridge" is actually two together, as the railway divides close to here into the Lewisham and Greenwich branches.
