General William Booth memorial buildings
Quite probably the largest Salvationist building in England, or possibly the world. There's an enormous tower with cross, not photographable unless you have a fish-eye lens.

Showing off its fluffy tail in Ruskin Park, Denmark Hill
One of many grey squirrels to be seen in the park. This one was being fed monkey nuts by a kind woman who gave some to me so that I could do the same. It was tame enough to take the nuts from my hand.

Westward from Denmark Hill station, 1971
The railway is ex-LB&SCR & SE&CR Joint respectively to Blackfriars and Victoria from Bromley South, Chatham and the Kent Coast via Catford, and the South London Line to Victoria from London Bridge. The bridge ahead carries Denmark Hill (A215) and beyond on the right is King's College Hospital.

Former portico, Ruskin Park
Late-C18th entrance screen of a house which was demolished to make way for the park in 1907. It is currently on English Heritage's Heritage at Risk Register, though restoration plans are apparently in the pipeline. Grade II listed.
