Keats House, Camberwell - Building detail
Keats House is one of several modest council apartment blocks to the north of Camberwell Green. Perhaps strangely, they are all named after English poets of the past.

The CoolTan Arts Bench, Camberwell Green, London
The bench gives a view of the length of the Green, a well-used 'pocket park'. It appears to be made from a stack of railway sleepers. The plaque below the left-hand seat reads: The CoolTan Arts Bench. A safe place to sit, rest, and a gift to our local community. Dedicated to Debbie and everyone with experience of mental distress. Designed and made by Rossen Daskalov and CoolTan Arts participants. With thanks to Southwark Council and Camberwell Community Council. This project was funded through Southwark Council's Cleaner Greener Safer funding.

The new Camberwell Library and the reconstruction of Camberwell Green, the road
It's due to open in November, I was told by a librarian leaving the site. The existing library is in Camberwell Church Street: Image In the left background are offices adjoining Camberwell Green Magistrates Court and Youth Court. On the right is D'Eynsford Road and half of Park House. It is not part of the neighbouring Peabody estate but appears to be private flats.

Open space between Landor House and Lamb House, Camberwell
Landor House, the first of the estate to be built, is on the left. It was built by the London County Council in the early 1950s. The generous space between the blocks helps to reduce any feeling of oppressiveness. Early evening.

Second World War memorials, Camberwell Green, London
At the north end of Camberwell Green is this Y-shaped area of paving off the main path. It's the setting for two memorials to people killed during World War II. That on the right is a general memorial: Image That in the centre relates to Camberwell and a number of individuals sadly killed: Image
