The gardens of Morden College
Morden College opened in 1700 for the benefit of poor, elderly merchants of good character who were either bachelors or widowers and who had failed in business through no particular fault of their own. This is the view of the gardens seen from Blackheath. A close up of the College can be seen at http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/2359991 The railway tunnel between Blackheath and Charlton passes under the trees ahead.
