Thamesmead Riverside
This is the point at which the Thames Path changes from the softer, more natural surface which has come from Cross Ness to the more heavily engineered river wall which runs almost to Tripcock Ness.

These halves of boats (turned into seating) are beside the Thames Path (long distance path) leading past Crossway housing estate towards Erith.

Footpath junction on the Thames Path near Southmere Lake
The Thames Path (long distance path) leads past the Crossway housing estate towards Erith. As well as the Thames Cycle Route. It leads from a protected river wall (of the River Thames) section towards a track to Cross Ness. Another path heads right towards the lake and nature reserve.
