Wood Vale, Dulwich
An interesting, if somewhat confusing, scene. A Ford Consul Mark II, plus a Daimler 2.5 V8 partially hidden by the telephone box. The shop signwriting suggests that the shop was previously a family-run butchers. However, the dust-covered displays, inside the shop, indicate that it has been an interesting car-orientated 'junk' shop for a number of years. Then there are the window stickers, 'Approved Stockists of Quality Standard Lamb', the most recent being dated 2020. Update October 2022: this shop is still trading as a butchers, and was open as I passed.

Forest Hill: an almost timeless scene on Wood Vale
This scene is probably little changed in 50-odd years – well, anyway, since 1982, the date on the shopfront sign.

Forest Hill: former Wood Vale Post Office
This almost-end-terrace shop, at 120 Wood Vale, was Wood Vale Post Office until its closure in March 2004. The painted sign has been retained even though the shop and its neighbours have been converted to residential use. Google StreetView in February 2018 also shows a Victorian postbox on the forecourt, close to the pavement edge but with its slot facing the shop rather than the road. No doubt this has been removed because the owners would need to allow access onto the property to the public posting a letter, if it were retained.

Ringmore Rise, SE23
These houses have some of the most spectacular views in London. To the front, there is an almost unbroken view of the City and West End, all the way to the hills some miles north of the city centre. The top of this hill is around 100m above sea level.

This is roughly the same area of the cemetery seen in Image, in different weather and season. The houses, hidden by foliage in that image, are on Underhill Road.
