An interior view at The Capitol, a wonderfully ornate cinema opened in 1929. Acquired by Wetherspoons in 1996 and converted into a pub with many of the internal decorative features retained. The Capitol, Forest Hill
The Capitol on London Road was once a cinema. The cinema closed in the 1970s and the building was later used as a bingo hall. It is now a Wetherspoons pub.

Shops on London Road, Forest Hill
The woman thought I was taking her. I did but hadn't a clue at the time. But I do have a very large red camera so it's the sort of thing people will notice. The building that looks like it was a cinema is now a Wetherspoons pub called The Union, no surprises there really.
