Waste of Money in Betts Park
What genius (probably with a degree in cycle path management) thought these cycle chicanes would have the slightest effect on speeding bikers? The worn out grass shows exactly what I would do if confronted by such an obstacle when out on the old boneshaker. What a stupid waste of public money.

Houses on Samos Road, SE20
Each house was divided into several flats. At the time I lived in the top floor flat of the near house on a short, 6-month lease; it had no central heating, but after a run of mild winters I thought I could take the chance of one winter with only a couple of bar heaters. Needless to say in 1990/91 the sequence broke with London's hardest winter for some time.
