Remarkable for the well-preserved and elaborate plaster work. There is a mustachioed face over the door opening - whether this is intended to be God or King Edward VII is not obvious.

The 'Gipsy Hill Tavern'
Clean and nicely decorated for the Olympic Games, this pub. presents an attractive and welcoming appearance. What a contrast with some of the dingy black-painted holes that one frequently sees. This pub. is very near to Gipsy Hill station, so can be visited without recourse to a car.
