DLR Thames tunnel at Woolwich - southern portal
The tunnel is a twin bore under the river and was constructed in 2006-8. The southernmost section approaching Woolwich Arsenal is in cut-and-cover. It emerges here into a cutting with piled retaining walls and cross-braced with concrete beams.

North Kent Tavern
Squeezed in between terraced housing and The BT telephone exchange is bad enough but opposite the Woolwich Job Centre! A block away from the Woolwich Arsenal Station with the new Docklands extension it could mean a new lease of life for this tired building.
