Draper Estate, Elephant and Castle
A London County Council estate of 1962-65 and one element of the LCC's redevelopment plan for the area. It comprises the tower, four smaller blocks and shops, and is built of pre-cast concrete. More information here: http://postwarbuildings.com/buildings/the-draper-estate .
The estate now stands firmly in the shadow of the Strata building (left).
