The Torbay pub (site of). 91, Rotherhithe Street, London, SE16
Directly opposite Elephant Lane that would make it the gap between the red and white buildings. It was a three storeyed building first recorded in 1803 and closed about 1955. Said to have been one of the busiest pubs in the area and also said to have had a very strong rowing team. I can only assume that the team consisted of stevedores who raced barges by rowing.
