Pedestrians use a pelican crossing in the shadow of Westlake House. The building has an industrial appearance rather than looking like homes.

Lady Gomm House
Situated in Hawkestone Road junction with Abbeyfield Road, Rotherhithe being built in 1885 as the Lady Gomm Cottage Hospital. Now (2009) a type of school.

Duke of Suffolk pub (ex) 59, Hawkstone Road, Rotherhithe, London, SE16
At the junction with Hodnet Grove and first recorded in 1864. I believe it was 1993 when it ceased trading as a pub. Since closing as a pub the new looking brickwork at the rear of the first and second floors show the additions, together with a couple of windows (front side) and the porch.
