Peckham Park Road Baptist Chapel
A church was built on this site in 1861/2. The plinth and foundation stone were originally part of Old Westminster Bridge, and can still be seen although the chapel was partly rebuilt in 1951 after war damage. Source: http://www.peckhamhistory.org.uk/churchesBap.htm

Our Lady of Sorrows, Bird in Bush Road
What might be termed a muscular example of Victorian church architecture. Not exactly attractive, but not without interest, and designed by Edward Welby Pugin (son of Augustus) in 1864-66. Grade II listed.

The Glengall Tavern, closed
I had passed this pub on the corner of Bird-in-Bush Road and Peckham Hill Street several times, but by the time I got round to photographing it, it had closed for business. It appeared to be in the process of conversion to residential use.

Franciscan Friary Hall, Peckham
The hall, on Bird-in-Bush Road, is a simple brick church hall attached to the Catholic church and Friary, but has quite an attractive pedimented front. The date stone on the front is AD 1937.
