Beeston's Gift Almshouses, Consort Road
Cuthbert Beeston was a Master of the Girdlers' Company and funded seven almshouses near the old London Bridge in 1582. The Company sold the site in the 1820s to the builders of the new London Bridge. The money was used to fund the building of Beeston's Gift Almshouses seen here which were completed in 1834.
