Borehole on Surrey Canal Road
It was not obvious why this percussion borehole rig was being used in the carriageway at the junction with Ilderton Road. There were surveyors at work nearby but they were working on the proposed Cycle Quietway, and that would not need deep excavations. Whatever the reason, the temporary 3-way lights caused traffic tailbacks in the rush hour for several days.
