Buildings on the Old Kent Road
A row of shops with flats above. The finely detailed but surprisingly unlisted building on the corner (644 Old Kent Road) is called Royal London Buildings and was originally the home of the Royal London Friendly Society, the flats above being used by its salesmen. (Source: http://carolineld.blogspot.co.uk/2010/03/royal-london-building-old-kent-road.html ). The ground floor is a bookmakers (Ladbrokes, although another photo Image shows that it was formerly called E Coombes). The tower in the distance is that of Christ Church Image

It closed as a library in 1966, and was reopened in 1974, by Poet Laureate Sir John Betjeman, as an interactive children's museum. The museum closed in 2008.

The Swan on Peckham Park Road
Yet another pub that has become the casualty of the recession and the sale of cheap beer in supermarkets. Showing "live Sky sports" was obviously not enough.
