67 Grange Walk, Bermondsey
Described by the London Open House website as a rare survivor of a timber framed London house of c1700, as the Metropolitan Building Acts had banned timber house construction as a result of the Great Fire. It was later clad in brick. From 1907, it was used by E Spaull & Co, clay pipe manufacturers, as can be seen by the “ghost sign” on the corner. Today, the property is back in residential use, and listed grade 2* (list entry number 1385574).

Construction of this four-storey block of flats had occupied most of 2013 and they were structurally complete by this point with just some landscaping to finish. A poster proclaimed the development as already sold out.

The Alaska Factory Gate, Bermondsey, SE1
The factory was opened in 1869 for the processing of the Alaskan furseal. The wall is all that remains of the original construction. The white building behind was erected I believe in the 1950s.
