Lewisham: postbox № SE13 40, Lewisham station
A Victorian postbox, set into the wall of the station, right by the main entrance. It is currently out of service – it looks as if the reason is that while major redevelopment of the station frontage is taking place, it would be too difficult for the Royal Mail to make collections. It will probably return to service once the works are complete and, when it does so, its final collection times will be 5:30pm on weekdays and noon on Saturdays.

Lewisham: the station postbox is back in use
A daytime view of Image - when that earlier photo was taken, the box was blocked while the refurbishment of the station forecourt was in progress.
Two and a half years later, the works are long finished and the postman can get to the box to empty it - so it is now back in use.

Lewisham: new entranceway to Lewisham station
Looking up at the redeveloped frontage of the mainline station. To the left is a part of the old road layout, currently closed during the works, which looks as if it will give taxi access to the immediate passenger exit from the platforms.

Lewisham Station
This is the Southeastern station which is next door to the DLR station. Just after I'd taken this picture, a railway official approached me and told me not to take any further photographs either within or outside the station.
