Kentish Buildings
A large-scale street map gives this name to these buildings on Borough High Street, which a few months earlier were being surveyed on behalf of Guy’s Hospital that owns the land, with a view to demolition and redevelopment. The shop units on the ground floor were already vacant; one had most recently been a shoe shop.

Former Victorian or Edwardian warehouse altered for the insertion of a modern shopfront.
Behind the latter is a branch of Foxtons.
Round the corner in Union Street are a few small early C19th houses.

60 Borough High Street
Possibly inter-war in a sort of Tudor Revival style. It has the same narrow proportions as most of the older buildings on Borough High Street.
Occupied at the time by estate agents, Urban Moves, and solicitors, Ola Leslie.

141-143 Borough High Street
A long neglected pair but they are late C18th, and Pevsner notes traces of Coade stone decoration (at the top).
Ultimately their age counted for nothing as they have since been demolished for a new hotel.
