This street of 18th century houses is said to be one of the oldest streets in Greenwich, possibly forming part of the original route from Woolwich to Deptford Bridge. Dedication stone of the former Greenwich Town Hall
Since the merger of the boroughs of Greenwich and Woolwich, the town hall is in the latter town. This building with its distinctive tower, dating from 1938 as shown here, is currently the Alpha Meridian College Image having previously been used as offices and the Greenwich School of Management. It is now grade 2 listed (list entry number 1213855).
