LESC sub-station, Greenwich High Road
This is, or was, an electricity sub-station and LESC stands for the London Electric Supply Corporation. It has been dated to c.1920 and is a "rare survival of a company involved in the very earliest days of the commercial supply of electric lighting" Source: Ashburnham Triangle Association website (later unavailable) A much more recent telephone box stands incongruously alongside.
