Improved cycle path, Tunnel Avenue
For many years the notional route of the Thames cycle path along here was a disgrace, but it was much improved by Greenwich Council in 2014 with proper shared-use signage and a good tarmac surface.

Tunnel Avenue leads from Blackwall Lane towards the Blackwall Tunnel.
Closed, due to road works further along the lane (near the junction with the Tunnel Approach road).

This road normally leads from Blackwall Lane, towards the A102 Blackwall Tunnel Approach Road (on the left). It is currently closed due to road works.
Hence the cycling group can cycle down the middle of the road.
