Capel Caersalem Newydd Chapel
Capel Caersalem Newydd, addoldy'r Bedyddwyr, yn Nhirdeunaw ger Abertawe. Adeiladwyd y capel cyntaf yn 1840 ac mae'r ty cwrdd presennol yn dyddio o 1873. Yn y fynwent fawr wrth gefn y capel y gorwedd gweddillion y cerddor adnabyddus hwnnw, John Hughes (1872-1914). Efe a gyfansoddod y don i'r emyn poplogaidd hwnnw 'Calon Lan'. Capel Caersalem Baptist Chapel (trans. new Jerusalem) in Tirdeunaw near Swansea. The first meeting house was built in 1840 and the present chapel dates from 1873. Within the large graveyard at the rear of the building lie the remains of that well known composer, John Hughes (1872-1914). He composed the music to that very popular Welsh hymn 'Calon Lan' (pure heart).
