Rear of High Street, Haverfordwest
The buildings along the High Street are mostly still crammed into the narrow burgage plots established when the town was founded in the twelfth century.

Ugly bank across the 'lake'
The rear of NatWest Bank stands out like a sore thumb against the lovely Georgian buildings. It's a cuckoo in the nest!

Tom Davies's old shop
This business now named County Clothes, in the High Street, has changed considerably since first opened as a menswear shop by Thomas and Blodwyn Davies in 1901 but it is still in the same family. Four generations down the line, its latest spin-off is called The Pink Cat, selling 'fun items' on the internet: the name originated from when a thunderstorm turned a white cat pink!

Behind the Georgian Facade
High Street has many lovely Georgian buildings and many not so lovely. The planners in the 60's and 70's have a lot to answer for! The NatWest bank is a dreadful eyesore. County Clothes on the other hand is a delightful and attractive building. Front and back.
