Gowerton railway station car park and footbridge
Gowerton is on the West Wales Line, between Swansea and Llanelli. Railway users can park here for free (capacity 23 cars). The footbridge was erected in 2013 as part of a major upgrade of the station. The single track was doubled and the formerly disused platform on the far side of the footbridge was brought back into use.

The 23 space car park occupies all the available space alongside the station. A notice at the station entrance side of the car park states that the nearby car park http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/4615192 off Gorwydd Road should be used when this car park is full.

Fenced-off former Tabernacle Chapel in Gowerton
Viewed across Gorwydd Road. This late September 2013 view shows that a once proud chapel has become an eyesore. All the windows are broken. An uprooted estate agents' board lies forlornly against a wall.
