Looking out across Swansea Bay from the Mumbles
I have heard it said that Swansea Bay can be compared with the Bay Of Naples, such is its expansive, sweeping curve, backed by shapely hills and its shoreline dotted with landmarks new and old.
I don't know what an inhabitant of Naples might say about the comparison and I have not yet been to Naples myself so I cannot comment.

Verdi's "caffe, gelateria, ristorante", a very pleasant spot to have an ice cream or coffee whilst enjoying the view of Swansea Bay.

Part of the route of the 2015 Swansea Half Marathon
Here runners enjoy the change of scene and the return leg of this great road race back to Swansea. Certainly a well-designed route; pretty flat, so good for PB's (Personal Best times), scenic beside Swansea Bay which I have heard favourably compared to the curve of the Bay of Naples (many Welshmen say it betters it), close to amenities, which runners prefer, i.e places of refreshment, eateries and easy access and egress by car, bus, train or on foot. Well worth a jog out.
