Adventure Coachlines coach at Port Talbot Parkway interchange
Operating a TrawsCymru T1c https://www.trawscymru.info/t1c/ direct service from Aberystwyth to Cardiff. It provides one return trip to the Welsh Capital every day, taking just over 3½ hours. The best alternative train service takes just over 4 hours and requires a change at Shrewsbury.

The Bank, Port Talbot
Club and bar on the corner of Station Road and Grove Place. The building was formerly a branch of Lloyds Bank. The current branch of Lloyds TSB http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/2829925 is further along Station Road.

Eden Club, Port Talbot
Nightclub at 6 Station Road. A previous occupier of the premises was The St. Oswalds pub. The stone inscription at the top of the facade shows ST OSWALDS CHAMBERS. A document dated 1918 shows that the building was the offices of Penrhys Colliery Company.

Port Talbot Parkway station building
Originally opened in 1850 as Port Talbot, the station has undergone various name changes over the years, becoming Port Talbot Parkway in 1984 when the old goods shed and yard were removed to provide interchange facilities. The station was substantially rebuilt between 2014 and 2016.

A T1C bus at Port Talbot Parkway
Running under the TrawsCymru banner, the T1C service operates one daily round trip from Aberystwyth to Cardiff and various other points en-route. The complete journey is about 3½ hrs - half hour less than the tedious rail journey via Shrewsbury.
