A TrawsCymru T1C coach at Port Talbot Parkway
Operates one daily return service from Aberystwyth to Cardiff. This is the only direct public transport from Aber to the Welsh capital. Other options are a bus and train with a change at Carmarthen or, all the way by train with a change at Shrewsbury

New Bus/Rail Interchange, Port Talbot (1)
This photo shows the new bus/rail interchange which was built recently. However, its six platforms seem to be devoid of buses using them. The railway line with an Arriva train can be seen in the distance. Update: this bus/rail interchange was officially opened on Monday 12th March 2018.

This photo shows the new bus/rail interchange although its six platforms have no buses parked in them. The rebuilt Port Talbot Parkway railway station can be seen to the right of the photo. Update: this new bus/rail interchange was officially opened on Monday 12th March 2018.

A T1C bus at Port Talbot Parkway
Running under the TrawsCymru banner, the T1C service operates one daily round trip from Aberystwyth to Cardiff and various other points en-route. The complete journey is about 3½ hrs - half hour less than the tedious rail journey via Shrewsbury.

Adventure Coachlines coach at Port Talbot Parkway interchange
Operating a TrawsCymru T1c https://www.trawscymru.info/t1c/ direct service from Aberystwyth to Cardiff. It provides one return trip to the Welsh Capital every day, taking just over 3½ hours. The best alternative train service takes just over 4 hours and requires a change at Shrewsbury.
